1. The training hall is called Dojo. Bow as you enter and live the Dojo.
2. Greetings (Bow), to the Sensei (teacher), as he/she enters or leaves the dojo
3. Follow the formal opening and closing ceremony as explained in class whenever you practice.
4. When training keep your mind on Karate, don’t talk when the instructor is talking, but be sure and ask questions if you
don’t understand a technique; the Dojo is a place for serious training and never for horseplay.
5. If you understand a command or instruction, reply with the Japanese word “Hai!” If you do not understand, raise your hand immediately.
6. The Teacher is addressed as “Sensei” in class.
7. Blak belts belt instructors are addressed as “Senpai”.
8. When you bring a visitor to class always introduce the visitor to the Sensei as soon as possible.
9. All students must follow the basic rules of good hygiene. Bathe regularly, cut fingernails and toenails and wash your
practice clothing as needed.
10. Only all white Karate Gis are to be worn in class; with the appropriate Shito Ryu Rank belts and patches.
11. Jewelry should not worn during training, for safety reasons, gum should not be chewed in the Dojo for your own safety.
12. Karate Do as I teach it is like a family therefore, treat one another with respect and courtesy as brothers and sister
work hard and give each other a good practice, but pay attention to safety do your best!
13. Failure abide by the above rules could result in ward of pushups by your Sensei.
